Atlantic Station

Atlantic Station is a quaint, compact neighborhood just a bone's throw from Midtown. Dubbed one of the "most walkable neighborhoods of Atlanta", Atlantic Station is a wagtastic spot to take your woofer for a walk past the neighborhood's shopping outlet. If Sparky needs some fresh air, amble around Millennium Gate, a museum-slash-park and a firm favorite with Atlanta dog walkers. The true treasure for your Terrier, though, is Atlantic Station Dog Park! This small park is open to doggos of all sizes, so it may not be the best option for protective pups or those who aren't exactly friendly with most mutts. When you've had all the off-leash fun you can handle, leash up and take a short walk south into Home Park, where you'll find dog-friendly dining options galore, from Mexican and Asian fare to burgers and pub grub.

Downtown

Lakewood Heights

Escape the buzz of downtown and venture to the southside of Atlanta. The vibrant street art of Lakewood Heights Historic District adds a pop of color to the city streets and makes for the perfect selfie opportunity with Spot. Your doggo's number-one destination will be South Bend Dog Park. This enclosed area within South Bend Park comes complete with separately fenced sections for big woofers and petite pups, as well as waste baggies to make cleanup a breeze. While you won't find any dog-friendly eateries in this area, a handful of restaurants offer takeout options, so grab a doggy bag before heading back home.

Old Fourth Ward

Affectionately nicknamed "O4W" by locals, Old Fourth Ward is one of Atlanta's oldest districts. From historic sites to buzzing nightlife, Old Fourth Ward really does have it all — even a place for your canine companion! Renaissance Dog Park is the local hangout for local hounds and Atlanta dog walkers. This off-leash area features 5 acres split into separately fenced areas for pups large and small. Freedom Barkway Dog Park is also located in O4W, so your pal is truly spoiled for choice! After your romp, leash up and take a walk about the neighborhood to discover succulent seafood, tantalizing tacos, and Southern-style brunch. Old Fourth Ward's dog-friendly taverns and cocktail bars are a "grrreat" place to grab a drink on a hot summer day.

Midtown

Midtown Atlanta is a super hip neighborhood for pups and people alike. It's easy to chow down with your hound in Midtown, where you'll find pup-friendly patios serving up everything from Chinese and Italian fare to Southern soul food and light bites. You'll find even more canine-friendly cafes and bars just a short walk south in Tech Square. Looking for a place to work off your meal? Piedmont Dog Park, a 3-acre off-leash zone with separately fenced areas for large and small dogs, is the "pawfect" spot for Lassie to feel the wind in their fur. If you'd prefer some on-leash exercise, hit the trails and soak up some scenic views of the cityscape.
